I qualified from Keele university with a BSc in Physiotherapy in the summer of 2014.
Whilst being at university I completed a Hons in level 3 Sports Massage and therefore I can use this effectively as part of a treatment plan if necessary. Knowing I had a good understanding of both anatomy and physiology I thought it would be appropriate to also complete my personal training qualification. I have successfully completed my Level 2 and 3 personal training qualifications and currently in the process of completing level 4 qualification specialising in diet and nutrition.
Since qualifying I have been working for Sandwell and West Birmingham hospitals as a physiotherapist. As part of my time at SWBH I developed a keen interest in the musculoskeletal speciality. In September 2016 I was promoted to a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. My knowledge of different musculoskeletal conditions is constantly broadening therefore allowing my skill set to constantly grow.
How Can I help
I see a lot of patients who have poor prognosis and are feeling low due to their current musculoskeletal problem, I work hard with them to achieve their goals and improve their function and pain. I enjoy giving patients meaningful activities and exercises that fit into their lifestyle and routine.
Outside of work I am a keen competitive bodybuilder, I have trained for competitions, learnt the importance of meal preparation and developed the knowledge of how to advise and guide others in their fitness journey, both beginner and advanced level.
